# [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Effects Problem

 * Not all of the image effects are not working properly for me.
    Only thickbox 
   and shutter provide an effect. Is this a known issue? I have tried on several
   servers.

 * you need to install the others as plugins as they aren’t included within the 
   nexgen plugin unlike the two you mentioned
 * personally I use WP-Slimbox2 and set the effect to “lightbox” in the gallery 
   plugin
