 * I thought I’d share a useful function I added. Hopefully Alex can add it to a
   future release, since its very simple and very useful.
 * I have 1200 photos in my main gallery, and because google has indexed many of
   them I can’t move them or break them up too easily (I had 800 before I started
   using nextgen) The plugin became unmanageable particularly when I wanted to add
   a tag, change a description or change a photo (and thus rebuild the thumb). Paging
   through 25 pages, having to keep them sorted. It was a royal pain.
 * So I added a text field and a button called filter and I added a {$filter-clause}
   to get gallery. So now if I put “eggs” in the filter field it only displays filenames
   that include the word eggs.
 * I contemplated adding a search function but it was just too complicated. This
   filter works nicely and saves me a bundle of time.
