# [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Thumbnail Problem using IE8

 * I am using the latest version of NextGen Gallery. Thumbnail pics on my webpage
   all look fine using Firefox and Chrome. However, the same thumbnails are all 
   compressed to a very thin size using IE8. The thumbnails have the same height,
   but a very small width in IE8. How can I fix this?

 * You must try using CSS adjustments, can you provide some url to test it or see
   what really happens?

 * Here is a link showing the thumbnails on one of my troop’s webpages:

   In Firefox and Chrome, the thumbnails are fine, but in IE8 there are compressed
   thin. I am not very familiar with CSS, so I would need some details as to any
   fix. Thanks.

 * Hi Voyager22,
    It looks like IE 8 is trying to squeeze in as many thumbnails 
   as possible in a row. Therefore something easy to try is setting the number of
   columns field (Gallery–>Options–>Gallery) to 2 or 3 (you may need to play with
   that and your thumbnail size).
 * IE 8 is also shrinking your whole page by 3cm and given you square corners – 
   maybe those are things your theme developer should be looking at.
