I set it up and configured. The test email works, and I can see it’s clearly using Gmail/SMTP. * But I have a contact form using Nina Forms, and that works but sends with PHPMailer, which I can see in the email header. * I’m also using Buddypress, and the new user activation email aren’t sending at all, or at least aren’t arriving at their destination. * I don’t think this relates to the recent upgrade issue, but please let me know what I can do to debug this. * Thanks. I actually saw that post, but I thought it was out of date and Buddypress was using wp_mail() now for some reason. I guess I’m confused why a WordPress plugin wouldn’t be using it in the first place, but whatever. * I configured your plugin to use Gmail not Other SMTP, and it still shows PHPMailer in the header in the test and other emails. So in reality the email is sent through Google servers, but while creating an email to pass it to Google we just do not remove the default PHPMailer header.
