After adding the Shortcode to the widget it is not displaying the feeds. At the moment if the plugin checks for new posts after the caching period has expired and it isn’t able to connect to the Facebook API at that time then it sounds like it’s caching that empty response and using it until the next time it checks for new posts. This would explain why the issue is resolved when you click Save Changes on the settings page (this clears the cache). * You should be able to get around this by turning off caching (the option which says ‘Check Facebook for new posts every’).
