Ditto. Switched to https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/video-importer

Needs an API key (free), but works beeeaaaautifully. Recommended.

The latest version of the plugin should be good to go. YouTube had deprecated its API and this is why the plugin wasn’t working. The plugin is now fully up-to-date with YouTube’s v3 API. There are also new features!
