Plugin Not Working Properly

    I have WooCommerce installed on my site. After I installed the plugin and changed the following URLs, my site’s home page started redirecting to the latest product..

    example.com/product/name1
example.com/name1

example.com/product/name2
example.com/name2

example.com/product/name-3
example.com/name-3

    I removed the word ‘product’ from the first and the second one and everything was fine until then. But the moment I edited the third one, the home page started redirecting to the third product. The first two worked because there was no ‘-‘ (dash) in them. I tested this locally as well. The moment I edit a product with a dash, the problem starts.

    Hoping to get a quick resolution to this.

    Hi Tanisha,

    Have you checked the Plugin settings Page. If you didn’t check that so, i recommend you to go to the settings page and define permalink structure.

    And then check url again.

    I have checked your scenario but my homepage is not redirect me to the post page.

    Please define the permalink structure in the permalink settings and if it does not work for you so, please let me know.

    Hi Sami,

    Thanks for your response. I had already tried that..but as you suggested, I tried it again and added the product permalink as %title%. Even after doing that, there’s no change. It still redirects the home page to example.com/name-3

    Aishwarya, Are you doing all this on localhost? or should i check this error on your server if you don’t mind so?

    I am trying this on local host.

    But, you can have a look at this live site. I have added a few demo products (as name 1, 2 and 3 above). The site now redirects to the third product. For both, the home page and the shop page.

    I hope you can replicate the problem now. The installs are all latest. I can provide you access of this demo install. All I did here was..

    1. Installed WordPress
    2. Installed WooCommerce
    3. Added 3 products
    4. Installed Permalinks Customizer
    5. Changed permalinks settings for product to %title%
    6. Removed word ‘product’ from individual products (name 1,2 and 3) by editing it’s links and updating the posts
    7. Now it redirects to the third product.

    Thank you for elaborating your problem. I have followed your instructions on localhost but unfortunately, i am unable replicate this error. 🙁

    I have checked the issue on the site above you given. It is redirecting me as you said…. But, i am not able to produce the error. I have installed the wordpress from the scratch and followed your instructions completely but does not get any benefit..

    If you don’t mind so, please allow me the access of your wordpress site.

    Or if you like so, we can discuss this issue on email or skype as well
