# Plugin: Offer an REST-API?

 * Hi guys,
 * that’s kind of very different question. I should create a plugin that’s accessible
   by an native App. So… I know that WordPress has it’s API but is it possible to
   provide an (REST+JSON) API with a plugin?
    The plugin does it’s work in WordPress
   but datachange should be possible by App. Of course I could write some PHP code
   and put it to any place and access the database manually, but maybe offering 
   an API is possible directly through the plugin.
 * So… Are there any ideas or suggestions what to do?

 * Seems interesting, I installed the plugin. But that’s not exactly what I want.
   I need to offer my plugin’s data and not just the blog content or something like
   this. I’ve looked at Jetpacks page and the documentation. It seems nice but it
   doesn’t allow me to offer an custom endpoint that returns custom data.
 * It look like I’ve really to create a custom API and put it just somewhere on 
   the server. That disappoints me because I thought that it’s possible to do this
   by WordPress and use WordPress’ authentication to access the database.
