 * No matter what I do, I’m unable to change the css style of my page navi. It just
   stays the same.
 * I’ve tried ticking Use pagenavi-css.css in the settings page.
 * Please help.

 * did you untick that, and add the css directly to style.css?
 * Also, line 73 of your index.php is
 *     ```
       <p><?php wp_pagenavi(); ?>
       ```
   
 * why is that `<p>` there? Delete it or close it with `</p>`
