# [Plugin: Piwik Analytics] 2.3 version needed

 * while i understand piwik is new and 2.3 is not the latest version of wordpress,
   many older plugins havent been updated to the news system. plugins i cant live
   without. as such, i can’t use the piwik plugin because it is not 2.3 compatible.
   it would be nice if it was. until it is, i will just use the less desirable wpstats
   🙁

 * I have a remaining 2.3 install and had the same problem. Just put the code in
   your footer. What code, you say? Find it on your Piwik install at:
 * For example (in Piwik 0.4)
 * [http://server.where.installed.com/piwik/index.php?module=SitesManager](http://server.where.installed.com/piwik/index.php?module=SitesManager)
 * and click on the link, next to the site you want the code for, that says:
 * “show tracking tag”
 * And it will give you a page to copy the Piwik code for your site.
