 * Is there any way to make this work in the bulk/quick edit fields? I’ve got a 
   LOT of posts to switch!
 * I know there are ways to add custom taxonomy info to the bulk edit thing – I’ve
   got that working, but I don’t really know how to add this one.

 * I’d be interested in this too. Doing a lot of importing from another site, and
   for some reason using the `<wp:post_type>` tag doesn’t work.

   the Post Type Switcher dropdown show up in the Bulk Edit panel?

 * Bulk Edit Custom Field has this kind of functionality and is a very small plugin.
   If I knew more PHP I would give it a shot to add the relevant part to Post Type
   Switcher, but I don’t.
