Unsure if this is a bug or intended behaviour, but this plugin is causing issues with the editor width by overriding what should be “full width” blocks

The following screenshots were taken on a clean WP install (no other plugins), version 5.6 with PublishPress 2.5.3 default settings, TwentyTwenty theme (latest). In all screenshots the Image block is set to “full-width”, with a default align left Paragraph below.

    With PublishPress blocks disabled:

    With PublishPress blocks enabled
All three “Editor Width” settings are varying levels of incorrect. i.e. the “full-width” image block no longer fills the editor width, regardless of which settings is chosen:

    Hi @adriantrimble,
it seems the configuration to control the Editor width is not allowing the fullwidth result you intend to preview. Don’t worry, this doesn’t affect the result in the front.

Note: the “Full width” from our plugin uses 95% of editor width. In the preview you’re missing 5%. I added an issue to Github to consider improving this feature.

Thanks for the quick response! I appreciate it doesn’t affect the front-end, but it is a bit of a UX issue for the editor. In some situations, the visual difference between “full width” and the normal content width is negligible, so it can be difficult to tell which blocks are full width without going through and selecting each one. Thanks for noting it though, hopefully something that can be improved!
