# [Plugin: Quick Cache ( Speed Without Compromise )] Quick Cache – Failed to create wp-content\cache d

 * After installing and following the directions I get this message at the end of
   my code.
 * _<!– Quick Cache: failed to write cache. The cache/ directory is either non-existent(
   and could not be created ) or it is not writable. –>_
 * I also noticed that Quick Cache didn’t create the directory wp-content\cache
   
   I tried to manually create the directory after I made sure the permissions were
   set to 777 (also tried 755) but receive this error message:
 * _Unable to create directory. Try a different name.
    Unable to create directory.
   Try a different name.
 * I’m not sure how to trouble shoot this. Any ideas why it’s not working?
