• Hello,

    As a security measure, our site hides the version of WordPress we are running. The AddThis plugin, however, reveals it in its script. Can this be removed or changed or hidden?

    Thanks,
    Bill

    var wp_blog_version = “4.5.2”;
    var addthis_plugin_info = {“info_status”:”enabled”,”cms_name”:”WordPress”,”cms_version”:”4.5.2″,”plugin_name”:”Share Buttons by …..

    Appreciate the effort on this issue with ver. 5.3.4, however, the issue remains. This appears in source:

    <!– AddThis Settings Begin –>
    <script data-cfasync=”false” type=”text/javascript”>
    var addthis_product = “wpp-5.3.4”;
    var wp_product_version = “wpp-5.3.4”;
    var wp_blog_version = “4.7.1”;
    var addthis_plugin_info = {“info_status”:”enabled”,”cms_name”:”WordPress”,”plugin_name”:”Share Buttons by AddThis”,”plugin_version”:”5.3.4″,”anonymous_profile_id”:”wp-c4466480278af0d40dab22bfd85e3be8″,”php_version”:”5.3.3″,”cms_version”:”4.7.1″,”plugin_mode”:”WordPress”,”select_prefs”:

    We are on WP 4.7.1. Fix coming in next update?

    Thanks!
    Bill

    p.s. Also, is there a reason it’s not compatible with the latest ver of WP?
