# [Plugin: Robots Meta] error message

 * I’m getting the following error message –
 * Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect.
   File(../../robots.txt) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts/example.
   com/httpdocs:/tmp) in /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/
   robots-meta/robots-meta.php on line 171
 * I have no idea what this means or if it’s important. (I’m new to WP).

    I have got the same Problem. The WP Version is 2.7.1 and I have some plugins
   activated. (Akismet, Headspace2, Redirection, SEO friendly images). Can someone
   help, please? Coerv
