 * Hello there,
 * Hope all’s well.
 * We were/are trying to backup a staging site which, will be later migrated to 
   a live environment.
 * Anytime we initiated the UpdraftPlus backup manually or automatically, the progression
   bar gets stuck for a long time and the cycle never completes.

 * Can you please provide clear steps to fix this urgently. We did contact the host
   but were redirected to the plugin developer.

 * Did you see the second article that is linked from the first? It’s a list of 
   all the reasons why a scheduler might not be running in a WordPress install:

 * Regardless of the cause and whether it can be found, if you try solution #4 in
   that article, and then visit a few pages on the site and wait a few minutes, 
   it could very likely get things going again.
