When using link masking everything works perfect on a page that is displayed in default language. For example I can mask http://www.amazon.com to http://mydomain.com/go/amazon but on a translated page this is not working. Hovering over a masked link shows http://mydomain.com/pl//go/amazon – where pl is a language code that WPML adds. When clicking on this link – double slash is replaced with a single one but the link is still not working – I get normal WordPress 404 template.

Here is some answer I got from WPML support:

“Dear Adam,
this is a compatibility issue.
For compatibility issues with 3rd party plugins we have a program with a dedicated staff just for that. It takes atmost 2 working days to solve these, but for this to be done, the plugin author has to establish contact through the form here http://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/ then we can take it from there.”
