 * Hi,
 * Ok, let’s be honest here: I’m pretty sure this plugin does exactly what I’d like
   to, but I have no clue how ^^
    So here is my issue: since I’ve changed theme
   recently, my native WP galleries look all messed up on my site, each thumbnail
   has a different height (same width, though). Anyhow I’d like to avoid having
   to care about image resizing every time I create a gallery… The issues I’m facing
   since I’ve activated this plugin are: – I don’t know why the galleries are taking
   only half the page (i.e. [http://atelier-de-styliste.com/emploi-du-temps-2/](http://atelier-de-styliste.com/emploi-du-temps-2/));–
   I’d like my pictures to be opened in a lightbox, no matter which one, anything
   would be better than the current behaviour! – I’d rather have the thumbnails
   aligned than in a masonry style, but I could survive if it isn’t possible to
   change this.
 * I haven’t really changed the settings so far, I don’t really know what to do
   actually 🙂
 * Thanks in advance for your help.

 * Simply put, your theme seems to be taking over all of Photonic. Your theme might
   be defining its own version of the gallery shortcode, and that might be conflicting
   with Photonic. Try the very first option, _Photonic → Settings → Generic Options
   → Generic Settings → Custom Shortcode_. Define something else here that you can
   use instead of the `gallery` shortcode.

 * Hi Sayontan,
 * Ok then, I get it. Unfortunately it won’t work for me as the person who creates
   and publishes the galleries is all but a geek and doesn’t know (nor want to know…)
   what a shortcode is. I guess I’ll have to deactivate the plugin and ask for some
   support from the theme author then.
 * Thanks for your help anyway!
 * Best,
    Deborah

 * Actually this isn’t difficult (I hope). If you follow the instructions as per
   the link above, then use the shortcode insertion script (_Add Media → Photonic_),
   you should be able to add galleries without knowledge of the shortcode. My only
   concern is, your theme might be overriding the shortcode insertion as well, in
   which case you might again end up with conflicts.
