# Plugin Shopping

 * I’ve searched and installed plugins in vain here. I’m looking for advice on three
   kinds of plugins (compatible with 2.1):
 * 1. post writing and submission—I tried to install both Dean’s fckeditor and Markdown
   extra to no avail.
 * 2. A desktop blogging client
 * 3. a video player

 * 1. No idea.
 * 2. I use Windows Live Writer and like it very much, it’s still in beta so there
   are a few bugs here and there but it is packed full of features.
