 * Dear Hector
 * We use your plugin within a slider on our website (you were kind enough to help
   us with the correct implementation in the past!).
 * Today my colleague noticed that slide 6 and 8 (of 9 in total) display the same
   post. The code for displaying the posts has not been changed since then. Here
   are the two relevant snippets:
   Find and display post no 6:`[wpp stats_views=0
   stats_date=1 stats_author=1 range='all' offset=5 limit=1 cat='-10' excerpt_by_words
   =1 excerpt_length=20 thumbnail_width=350 thumbnail_height=250 wpp_start='<div
   class="brick_list">' wpp_end='</div>' post_html='<div class="brick_item" data-
   url="{url}"><div class="brick_item-image">{thumb_img}</div><div class="brick_item-
   header text-left"><p class="post_date-created post_cat-icon">{date}</p><p>{tags}
   </p><h4><a class="blocklink" href="{url}">{text_title}</a></h4></div><div class
   ="brick_item-body"><span class="wpp-excerpt">{summary}</span></div><div class
   ="brick_item-footer"><div class="author_infobox">{avatar}<span class="author_name
   d-inline-block">{author}</span></div></div></div>']`
 * Find and display post no 8:
   `[wpp stats_views=0 stats_date=1 stats_author=1 range
   ='all' offset=7 limit=1 cat='-10' excerpt_by_words=1 excerpt_length=20 thumbnail_width
   =350 thumbnail_height=250 wpp_start='<div class="brick_list">' wpp_end='</div
   >' post_html='<div class="brick_item" data-url="{url}"><div class="brick_item-
   image">{thumb_img}</div><div class="brick_item-header text-left"><p class="post_date-
   created post_cat-icon">{date}</p><p>{tags}</p><h4><a class="blocklink" href="{
   url}">{text_title}</a></h4></div><div class="brick_item-body"><span class="wpp-
   excerpt">{summary}</span></div><div class="brick_item-footer"><div class="author_infobox"
   >{avatar}<span class="author_name d-inline-block">{author}</span></div></div>
   </div>']`
 * Do you see any potential problem that could cause this?
   I have just installed
   the very latest version of your plugin.Thanks for taking a look and have a nice
   evening!Bianca

 * Hi there,
 * Yeah, that’s the kind of [unexpected behavior I was referring to two years ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/shortcode-to-get-1st-2nd-3rd-most-popular-post/#post-14706317)
   😅
 * Might want to reach out to the SlideAnything support team to ask them how to
   do this with a single shortcode instead of multiple ones as you have it now.
   That should work more reliably IMO than your current setup.

 * Hi Hector
   Thanks for following up – this solution would of course suit us just
   as well. And it might even be easier to read.
 * I’m just surprised that the problem is currently only occurring in two out of
   nine posts. But yes, I’m curious to see if it can be solved differently and look
   forward to hearing from you!

 * Hey [@schweizerschoggi](https://wordpress.org/support/users/schweizerschoggi/),
 * I already shared a recommendation above though:

 * Hi Hector
 * Ah, I see that I misunderstood your response. Ups… I thought YOU would ask SlideAnything,
   but then I will do. No problem 😀
 * In the old thread you originally mentioned, that the WPP list is dynamic and
   for that reason the current solution could cause problems. But the posts in the
   Top 9, that we are currently showing, are not new and each of then has already
   hundreds if not thousands of views. I doubt that the dynamic list is the reason,
   to be honest.
   But yes, I will go and ask if they do see another option.
