# [Plugin: Sideblog] : Widget error

 * I have been trying to setup the Sideblg widget but keep getting this error –
 * > Aside category not selected. Please provide a category slug if you’re using
   > non-dynamic sidebar.

 * **Update:** The category slug for my asides is ‘notices’. So I manually edited
   my source to include these lines –
 * >  -  <?php sideblog(’notices’); ?>
 * Now I get a new error –
 * > Aside category not selected.

 * Hi Friend,
 * I see your problem.
    I alos have been having sideblog problems. It seems the 
   sideblog author is not up with 2.5.1. These things happen.
 * Are you attempting to use it as a widget?
    I was, and getting no where fast. 
   It would show up and then everything else in the sidebar would disappear. However,
   I tried non-widget style, just inserting the most basic code into the sidebar,
   and as per your suggestion, adding ‘asides’ into the brackets (that’s my category
   name)… and well, well, well, it now works, however the formatting is a little
   out of whack, that is, typeface colour etc, and I I don’t know how to change 
   that. Also the title heading won’t show up.
