There are several generic WP plug-in keeping the post content fresh every time viewed, but converts up to 50% of the source code to raw html, nothing odd here. * Moreover, decoding the HTML ensures the post shows correctly (same as viewed by the browser) as source is sometimes UTF or HTML. Use plain text, readable by anybody. I’m really not making the ‘ obfuscation’ part up.. it’s real and nothing ‘weird’ about it. I’m sure other user’s will run into the same issue when advancing in their WP skills and encounters across the web with various articles, postings, feeds etc. If you are a really good developer you’ll reconsider and look into this a bit further… sure it’s not a big deal to resolve. * So for now we have to part ways, to let you know there are other plug-ins that do charge a bit .. but have this feature. Most people don’t do that, and sorry man, but I’m shooting for the 90% only. * It may only be one line of code to fix the problem, but I’m not going to write that one line because I do not want to encourage people to do something such as you are describing. In one part of the FB post, it’s converting several punctuation marks to numeric HTML entities. If you look at the fan page we’re posting to: [https://www.facebook.com/pages/Thomas-Library-at-Wittenberg-University/35913864467](https://www.facebook.com/pages/Thomas-Library-at-Wittenberg-University/35913864467) you won’t see any funny characters because we took them out, but apostrophes and dashes were both getting rendered numerically in the first line. (The title shows up once as the posted text and then again in the link; it showed up fine in the link, but was getting rendered numerically in the text of the post.) * Any idea what we could do to correct this? The only other plug we’ve got is Akismet, and we’re just entering plain text. * Any advice on how we can use the full range of characters would be appreciated. * Thanks! It’s where all fixes go. * Every once in a while, trunk gets copied and tagged with a new version number, and that’s the released version. * And yes, just replace the files to try the trunk version. * A ZIP of any plugin’s “trunk” can be found on the plugin’s downloads page.
