# [Plugin: Slideshow Gallery] Broken

 * Upgraded to plugin version 1.2 and my hardcode broke altogether – just ouput
   nothing.
 * I changed this to the new hardcode code, and got the theme to automatically call
   in the post_id (can provide code example if anyone needs it!).
 * However, now my image slideshows are black!
 * See [http://entwistles.net/1930s-barbola-mirror/](http://entwistles.net/1930s-barbola-mirror/)
   for example.
 * This happens even if I use the shortcode in a page and call up images from ANY
   post.

 * Hi Antonie,
 * Will drop you the link when live.
 * Have selected “working” on the latest version of the plugin (1.2.1) – which should
   be enough?
 * Am sure if anyone runs into similar issue, they will end up here and get to solution:
   was a quirky one in any case!
 * Thanks again,
 * Rob

 * Hi
    I seem to have quite the same problem as robscott even though i am running
   1.2.3.2 and it is about a year after this discussion but the problem seems to
   be there still. I am running my sample website on my own machine on windows,
   according to phpinfo() i do have GD enabled i also checked php.ini just to be
   sure. i also tried the workaround provided for robscott to change the gallery.
   php to the code provided by antonie but that didnt work either! the response
   i get for checking the sample provided by the plugin is: “ A TimThumb error has
   occured The following error(s) occured:
 * Could not find the internal image you specified.
    Query String : src=wp-content/
   plugins/slideshow-gallery/screenshot-1.png&w=500&h=500&q=100&a=t TimThumb version:
   2.8.10 “. any help is much appreciated! ps: the plugin works fine except from
   the image resizing.

 * [@momolearnstopress](https://wordpress.org/support/users/momolearnstopress/)
 * I assume that the image does exist?
 * Are you running a local machine with Windows?
    What software do you use, what
   is your setup? There could be a permissions problem on accessing those files.

 * hi Antonie
    thanx for the prompt reply. i am running on my own laptop using XAMPP.
   the files do exist specially the one i mentioned which is the sample file provided
   with the plugin. I think too that it could be a problem with permissions but
   as this is the url of the problematic page [http://localhost:81/wp/wp-content/plugins/slideshow-gallery/vendors/timthumb.php?src=wp-content/plugins/slideshow-gallery/screenshot-1.png&w=500&h=500&q=100&a=t](http://localhost:81/wp/wp-content/plugins/slideshow-gallery/vendors/timthumb.php?src=wp-content/plugins/slideshow-gallery/screenshot-1.png&w=500&h=500&q=100&a=t)
   which is in the same domain as the image i really can not find the problem! once
   again thanx for your help.

 * @ momoLearnsToPress
 * The problem is specific to TimThumb and XAMPP.
    If you run it on an online server,
   you probably won’t have the problem.
 * If you Google “TimThumb XAMPP” you come across many people with the exact same
   problem. Like this: [http://code.google.com/p/timthumb/issues/detail?id=130](http://code.google.com/p/timthumb/issues/detail?id=130)

    thank you this is a
   great help and sorry for troubling you with a problem that was not with your
   code in the first place! kodus to you for the great plugin and the great support!
   i will check and later on leave a comment confirming that it works on online
   servers:)

 * I checked the plugin in an [online host](http://mharati.byethost31.com/wp-content/plugins/slideshow-gallery/vendors/timthumb.php?src=wp-content/plugins/slideshow-gallery/screenshot-1.png&w=500&h=280&q=100&a=t)
   and it works fine. the problem was indeed with XAMPP and timthumb, not the plugin.

   thanx to antonie for his great support.
