 * Sounds like a permission issue with your server. Is the a /slideshow-gallery-
   pro/ directory in your /uploads/ folder?

 * Dear cpres! Thank you for making this brilliant slideshow plugin. However, could
   you please check again with WordPress 3.1, since I encountered the same error
   of Tom69. The path looks weird, isn’t it?
    I’m pretty sure that the permission
   in my computer allow the plugin to write. The images is uploaded fine. It just
   can’t create thumbnails for those ones. Hence the slideshow in frontpage displays
   images with just black empty thumbnails. And yes, there is a /slideshow-gallery-
   pro/ directory in my /uploads/ folder
 * Thanks!

 * Yeah, there are a lot of weird forward slash back slash things happening, could
   WinXP not be smart enough to figure that out? Hmmm… I’ll look into this. I might
   be hardcoding the / where there might be some more variable work around…

 * I had same problem with another script but same thing line 455 and its as cpres
   said, i had a cache folder i had to change chmod on. so you may want to look
   at the perms for your uploads folder
