# Plugin slows down website (API Call TIMEOUT)

 * Upon activating this plugin in my server, each page takes about 5.5 secs to load.
   According to Query Monitor, it’s because the connection to “[https://help.codexpert.io/wp-json/wp/v2/docs/](https://help.codexpert.io/wp-json/wp/v2/docs/)
   ?
   parent=1960 &per_page=100” throws the following error: “cURL error 28: Connection
   timed out after 5001 milliseconds”.

 * It’s a fresh installation. First time I am going to use it.
    I downloaded it 
   through the wordpress.org site, so it’s the latest version you are listing there!
 * It’s also the demo version, latest php and wordpress version, latest woocommerce,
   everything is up-to-date.
