# [Plugin: Smoothness Slider Shortcode] Transparency issues

 * Hello,
 * I am experiencing difficulty with the slider code (which I think is nivo-slider?),
   when the images cycle there is a period of about one second where the previous
   photo is shown beneath the next one, which wouldn’t be a problem, only my slider
   relies heavily on images with large blocks of transparency where the page background
   should show beneath and not he previous picture.
 * Does anyone know how I can prevent this from happening, or reduce the time that
   the previous photo is displayed for, so that this is less noticeable?
