# [Plugin: Subscribe2]

 * I have just installed the plugin on two of my sites and, not being familiar with
   PHP, spent some time translating its messages into Lithuanian which is the language
   of the sites. I did that by manually looking up and replacing keywords in the
   plugin files.
 * On at least one occasion, I changed the wrong part of the code somewhere and 
   got an error message upon saving the changes. I then copied the original code
   from elsewhere and thought I solved the problem.
 * However, upon installing the submit box [here](http://www.toli.lt/naujienos/naujienu-prenumerata/)
   all I get when inserting a test e=mail address is an activation of the Javascript
   timer, but no result.
 * I thought I’d reinstall the plugin but when I try to remove it I get a “fatal
   error” message.
 * Any suggestions?

 * I’d suggest re-installed the original code and then translation using gettext
   and the POT file included in the install files.

 * Hi,
    Thanks for the suggestion but I’m afraid I can’t delete it which also means
   no possibility to re-install.
 * I get the following message when I try to delete the plugin:
    “Fatal error: Call
   to a member function get_user_meta() on a non-object in /……………../wp-content/plugins/
   subscribe2/uninstall.php on line 18”.

 * That’s a known issue in 6.4 that will be fixed in 6.5. In the meantime you can
   follow this [thread](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-subscribe2-cannot-uninstall?replies=8)
   on how to workaround this problem.

 * Hi again,
 * after updating the plugin, I had not yet activated on [my site](http://www.toli.lt/naujienos)
   it but noticed today that it’s not only the subscription feature but also commenting
   on posts that is not working! I tried Firefox and Opera, and comments could not
   be added on either, just resulting in a “loading” wheel symbol briefly.
 * I then deleted the plugin altogether, but the problem with adding comments remains.
   I am not competent to identify if it arises from the Subscribe2 plugin, or if
   another one is causing it, but maybe you would have an idea, and possibly even
   a solution?
