Now, I just reinstalled a fresh version of WordPress and on the front pages it says:
Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /data/26/2/7/139/2496302/user/2733991/htdocs/pff_wordpress/wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget/testimonials-widget.php on line 616

RSS Error: The data could not be converted to UTF-8. You MUST have either the iconv or mbstring extension installed. Upgrading to PHP 5.x (which includes iconv) is highly recommended.
What do you suggest? BTW, I was unable to uninstall the plugin, so renamed it.
Because of that, I think the WordPress app is trying to pull the data.
Thanks for your help.

Can you please update to the latest release and try again?
Also, if the problem happens again, be sure to denote which release. I push out bug fixes as soon as possible, so since you’ve reported there’s been a few releases so I’m not sure which you’re on.
Lastly, in the future if a plugin bombs on you, you can delete the plugin folder entirely and then load WP > Plugins. The plugins system will then note that the plugin is gone and deactivate the missing plugin automatically.
What version of PHP do you have installed?
I think I’ve figured out the issue and it should be fixed with upcoming release 2.1.2.
There are still quite a few notices that show when debug is set to true in the latest version I just upgraded to 2.1.7
thanks
Thanks for the tips. I’ve added debug true to the todos to clear out the notices.
