# [Plugin: Testimonials Widget] Bug: crashed my admin page

 * I got the two warnings today, almost immediately after installing the plug-in:
 * > **Notice:** Undefined property: WP_Query::$is_main_query in /data/26/2/7/139/
   > 2496302/user/2733991/htdocs/pff_wordpress/wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget/
   > testimonials-widget.php on line 143
 * > **Notice:** Trying to get property of non-object in /data/26/2/7/139/2496302/
   > user/2733991/htdocs/pff_wordpress/wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget/testimonials-
   > widget.php on line 616
 * I had to finally change the name of the folder for the files to be able to get
   back to semi-normal.
 * On the front of my dashboard page, it’s reading:
 * Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /data/26/2/7/139/2496302/user/
   2733991/htdocs/pff_wordpress/wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget/testimonials-
   widget.php on line 616
    RSS Error: The data could not be converted to UTF-8.
   You MUST have either the iconv or mbstring extension installed. Upgrading to
   PHP 5.x (which includes iconv) is highly recommended.

 * Now, I just reinstalled a fresh version of WordPress and on the front pages it
   says:
 * > Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /data/26/2/7/139/2496302/user/
   > 2733991/htdocs/pff_wordpress/wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget/testimonials-

 * What do you suggest? BTW, I was unable to uninstall the plugin, so renamed it.

   Because of that, I think the WordPress app is trying to pull the data.
 * Thanks for your help.

 * Can you please update to the latest release and try again?
 * Also, if the problem happens again, be sure to denote which release. I push out
   bug fixes as soon as possible, so since you’ve reported there’s been a few releases
   so I’m not sure which you’re on.
 * Lastly, in the future if a plugin bombs on you, you can delete the plugin folder
   entirely and then load WP > Plugins. The plugins system will then note that the
   plugin is gone and deactivate the missing plugin automatically.

 * What version of PHP do you have installed?
 * I think I’ve figured out the issue and it should be fixed with upcoming release
   2.1.2.

 * There are still quite a few notices that show when debug is set to true in the
   latest version I just upgraded to 2.1.7

 * Thanks for the tips. I’ve added `debug true` to the todos to clear out the notices.
