# [Plugin: The Events Calendar] Shortcode?

 * Just wondering if there is a shortcode or the likes to display the calendar on
   a page? Only solution I can think of is to use str_replace() on the output from
   wp_list_pages() to rewrite the site navigation li from [http://www.mysite.com/calendar](http://www.mysite.com/calendar)
   to [http://www.mysite.com/category/events](http://www.mysite.com/category/events)
 * Any other ideas?

 * not at the moment. it currently depends on the cat loop. We have had a few requests
   for a shortcode to display the calendar. Its a big hairball so it might not happen
   tomorrow, but it is in the system as a feature request.

 * I found a solution to this using another plugin: [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/page-links-to/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/page-links-to/)
 * This plugin lets you redirect a page you create to any post, category, etc you
   wish. At least it worked ok for me.

 * Just a note — WP3.0 has just announced custom navigation menus so that means 
   you should be able to create a menu item to lead directly to the calendar VERY
   easily.
