 * I am having difficulty getting plugins to work on a domain that I own.
    I use
Chooko Lite and every time I try to use any one of my plugins, I get an error
   message that includes the following:
 * _The problem can be solved only by you or by your server administrator by enabling
   remote access. In PHP settings:
    1. Enable allow\_url\_fopen 2. or enable cURL
   3. If settings 1 or 2 are enabled but this message is still visible, server settings
or firewall may be blocking connection 4. Free hosting providers may be very
restrictive and can refuse allowing remote connections from your server
 * I am guessing that PHP settings is the text in the stylesheet. That is one of
the things I’ve checked and have found nothing straightforward enough to help
   me.
 * There doesn’t seem to be a lot of support on this issue and I’m not an expert
on html/Wordpress, so please make your responses simple. Thanks! 🙂

 * You should contact your service provider, they can help you get this working
   if it’s allowed.

 * Hello, unfortunately PHP settings belong to the server configuration and has
nothing to do with the theme nor even WordPress.
 * As the error message suggest and as [@batharoy](https://wordpress.org/support/users/batharoy/)
rightfully said, you need to contact your hosting service provider. Only them
are able to change the PHP settings. And in case they don’t allow this, your
only solution will be to switch to another host.
