# [Plugin: Tweets As Posts] Plugin doesn't post tweets

 * I have used Twitter Tools plugin in a couple of blogs but it stopped working 
   yesterday apparently due to some changes in Twitter API. Hence I decided to try
   this plugin, Tweets as Posts, instead.
 * However, this one doesn’t work either. Is it because of the same API change?

 * I have tried both manual (‘Run Tweets As Posts Update’) and automatic update.
   Is there something that I do wrong?
 * The blog is set to Helsinki local time while the plugin apparently uses UTC time.
   I don’t know if that matters.

 * We are updating the posts in twitter manually. The problem existis since yesterday

 * There is a hack to Twitter Tools at its support forum. That works. I revert back
   to it for now but as it seems not to be developed anymore I will stay in this
   thread to see if something happens here.

 * Hi nli & diegopolo,
 * No, the twitter api change has not affected the plugin – it is still running 
   properly.
 * The only true issue the plugin has is with a setting in some shared environments,
   the fix for which can be found in this support thread – [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-tweets-as-posts-scheduled-updates-not-working?replies=12](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-tweets-as-posts-scheduled-updates-not-working?replies=12)
   so if you’re on shared hosts please check for this.
 * I’ll be taking a look at the api to make sure there are no knock-on effects but
   for the moment it’s running a-ok.

 * hey nli, i just installed because twitter tools updated and the social plugin
   it now uses gives me 403 forbidden.
 * anyway installed this and it works – what’s missing from the instructions page
   is that **your new tweets need to have the hashtag** you specify in them.
 * so you add: Hashtag(s): [news ] eg: news, events
    and then you tweet: this is
   new #news

 * Thanks venkmanuk, but that was not the problem. As you see, I used such a tag
   in one of the tweets to try how it works but it didn’t appear in blog (it later
   did, when I reverted back to Twitter Tools).
 * The problem is probably the one with shared hosting that Chandesh Parekh pointed
   out above.
