# plugin update broken?

 * When I come to this page, I can download Event Tickets v5.26.0.1, but in WordPress
   directly the plugin seems stuck at v5.25.1.1. Why is that? It does not show an
   update is available and will not allow you to directly update to the latest version.
 * I found this out because updating The Events Calendar breaks any Events pages
   without the latest update to Event Tickets… and I was getting a “**You must update
   to the latest version of Event Tickets**” warning message across the top of the
   screen.
   Unfortunately, this is only done by manual discovery like this rather
   than the usual automatically available plugin updates.

 * Hi [@efishinsea](https://wordpress.org/support/users/efishinsea/)
 * Thanks for reaching out and sharing the details of the issue.
 * I tried replicating the problem on my end by installing **Event Tickets 5.26.0**,
   and it successfully detected the latest version (**Event Tickets 5.26.0.1**)
   as expected.

 * If you encounter this issue again in the future, I recommend reviewing the suggestions
   outlined in the following WordPress.org support thread, which covers troubleshooting
   steps for when plugins are not showing available updates in the dashboard:

 * FYI I had the same problem. Is it because you didn’t update your changelog with
   the latest version?

 * Hi [@maguijo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/maguijo/) ,
 * Thank you for your message and sharing your similar experience.
 * I checked the changelog.md file of Event Tickets version 5.26.0.1, and it seems
   to have been updated with the following text:
 *     ```wp-block-code
       # Changelog### [5.26.0.1] 2025-08-20* Fix - Ensures the Actions Scheduler Logs table is present before attempting to use it. [TCMN-190]### [5.26.0] 2025-08-19* Version - Event Tickets 5.26.0 is only compatible with The Events Calendar 6.15.0 and higher.* Performance - Improving TicketsCommerce Checkout by offloading tasks to Shepherd. [TCMN-185]* [EXPERIMENTAL] Feature - Introduced new REST endpoints for managing your Tickets. Note: This API is for experimental use only and requires the X-TEC-EEA header. It may be subject to breaking changes in upcoming releases.* Language - 74 new strings added, 4 updated, 3 fuzzied, and 0 obsoleted.### [5.25.1.1] 2025-07-30* Fix - Adds support for SCA (Strong Customer Authentication) for the Square Payment Gateway in TicketsCommerce. * …and now it’s showing the 5.26.0.1 update as available to install on my site,
   where I rolled all of them back to older versions before they started doing this
   REST api stuff. How about that? 😉

 * Hi [@maguijo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/maguijo/) ,
 * Thank you for your message and we’re glad to hear that the update to 5.26.0.1
   is now available. This may have been a result of WordPress’ update cache. It
   might have taken a day or two for this cache to refresh on your site, at which
   point it detected the new version was available for you.
