# Plugin update conflict

    You entered an invalid username or password.
 * I updated the wp-members plugin and not I cannot log into the dashboard
 * Any idea for work arounds
 * I tried rolling the plugin back via ftp and did not work. Can the site log in
   without the plugin if I delete. I am new to members adding

 * It could be how you have things set up, or it could be conflict with another 
   plugin. So there isn’t enough information here to answer “why.”
 * One of the newer feature settings that may be a potential cause would be the 
   user confirmation/verification setting. While enabling the setting will set the
   current user as verified (so whatever admin account is enabling the setting),
   that doesn’t hold true for other users. But other unverified users would not 
   be marked as verified and would be unable to log in.

 * Yes, you can delete the plugin and it will not affect your user info. The plugin
   uses WP’s wp_users and wp_usermeta table (so WP’s standard user schema).

 * Thank you for your feedback. I deleted the updated plugin and reinstalled the
   previous version 3.3.6. I don’t know what the conflict is. I am not running wordpress
   5.5.3 yet, maybe that is why the update conflicted. I look forward to future 
   updates
