# Plugin Update Error: Could not create directory

 * I’m having an issue updating all of my plugins. Here’s an example error from 
   one of them:
 * Updating Plugin Contact Form 7 (1/10)
    Downloading update from [https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/contact-form-7.4.3.zip…](https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/contact-form-7.4.3.zip…)
   Unpacking the update… An error occurred while updating Contact Form 7: Could 
   not create directory. All updates have been completed.
 * The permissions for the folder is 755. Any thoughts on where to start with troubleshooting?
