 * I’m using WP 2.7 and earlier today WordPress indicated that six of my plugins
   had updates waiting. Excellent!
 * So I went into the Plugins area to upgrade, and selected the first one I saw
to upgrade automatically. It upgraded successfully but then I noticed none of
my other plugins were indicating that upgrades were available. It’s almost as
   if it’s stopped checking.
 * In this case the one I upgraded was WP-Email (2.31 to 2.4). I know for a fact
that WP-Print has an upgrade waiting (2.31 installed, 2.4 just released today).
So I know at the very least it should be indicating that needs to be upgraded.
 * Obviously I can upgrade them manually myself, but now that we have the auto-update
option for plugins in WordPress it sure is handy and I’d hate to do without!!
   🙂
 * Suggestions? Help?

 * After a couple days it started working again…this time showing that five upgrades
were waiting, as I knew from the last time. I verified that there were five waiting.
I installed one and then it no longer showed any of them as having an update
   waiting.
 * Then a day after it stopped working it started again, although once again stopped
working after I installed one of them.

 * Yup, I’ve got exactly the same problem on one of my blogs. I thought it was some
plugin conflict at first but I can’t track it down. I’ve been using the [One Click Plugin Updater Plugin](http://w-shadow.com/blog/2007/10/19/one-click-plugin-updater/)
which at least lets you set the update checking interval to a short period (eg
5 mins) so you can see what’s happening.
 * There seem to be other events (de-/re-activating a plugin?) that clear the update
   notifications as well.
