# [Plugin: Update Notifier] Resetting plugin?

 * I have this plugin (v1.4) installed on two different wordpress installations (
both 3.0.1) and I am seeing the same issue on both.
 * I keep getting emails saying:
 * “It’s time to update the version of WordPress running at ….. from version 2.9.2
   to 3.0.”
 * They are both at 3.0.1, so I can’t see why this is still happening.
 * In addition, on one of the blogs, I keeping getting a notice to update a theme
that I deleted a long while back.
 * In both cases, it also doesn’t seem to be picking up on new plugins/themes that
   need updating.
 * Is there a way to reset the plugin? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but
that didn’t seem to work. Is there a table somewhere I need to delete (or that
   is perhaps accidentally locked)?
 * Thanks.

 * Sorry for the late reply (have been away).
 * Update Notifier takes data from an option saved by WordPress itself (`_site_transient_update_core`
for core updates, similar names for plugins and themes) and should only send
a core notification if the current response is ‘upgrade’. As far as I can tell,
if you’re receiving emails from Update Notifier then you should also be seeing
yellow update nags in the admin area (though I assume this isn’t the case). Unfortunately
I am unable to replicate this problem, though will continue looking for a potential
   way this could happen.
 * What would be useful is if I could get administrative access to an install where
this is occurring (if this is not possible then I would ask for the information
I would try to look at myself). Either way could you drop me an email: updatenotifier

 * Thanks for reporting, hopefully I can sort this out.

 * Should be fixed as of 1.4.1
