# Plugin Update SVN Commit Authentication Filure

 * I just tried updating my plugin and set the “Tested up to” tag in the readme.
   txt file but when trying to commit I’m asked for my wordpress.org credentials(
   which I recently changed).
 * Neither the new password nor the old one work and I cannot complete the commit.
 * Is there some place I can reset my plugins.svn.wordpress.org credentials?

 * I changed my password and this is working now.
 * It seems the issue had to do with special characters in the old password (WT…!?).
 * The old password was generated using [http://strongpasswordgenerator.com/](http://strongpasswordgenerator.com/)
   but it seems those are **too secure** to work with SVN.
 * Although when changing the password you get the following hint:
 * > Hint: Use upper and lower case characters, numbers and symbols like !”?$%^&(
   > in your password.
 * I did have both “[” and “]” in the old password as well — not sure if those were
   causing the issue.
 * I’m marking this as resolved, although the whole situation does not seem quite
   right.
