# plugin updates wont update

 * the admin area of my wp said for me to update my plugins so when i went to update
   them they said successfully updated but then they just keep coming up saying 
   i have to update them again. its like they are not really updating. and also 
   i have some plugins that when i click the delete button they wont delete even
   though it says they have been deleted, they just stay there. please help! thanks

 * Try going in via FTP and doing the updates manually. Delete the old plug-ins 
   first.

 * hi zoonini, i just tried going into my ftp and deleting the folder and it came
   up with message:
 *  ERROR:> [9/04/2011 10:28:30 AM] Requested action not taken (e.g., file or directory
   not found, no access).
 * any idea of what i can do?

 * If you’re not able to delete a folder via FTP I would contact your host to see
   if they can help, something very odd is going on.

 * i was using cuteftp and then logged into my host account and used their ftp service
   through the browser and now it finally deleted 🙂
 * maybe you can help me with another problem.. when i upload a plugin to the plugin
   section it uploads ok but when i click on activate it then comes up with “Plugin
   file does not exist.”? any ideas?

 * I don’t know what could be going on there. Normally if you’ve uploaded a plug-
   in you should be able to activate it. Does the same thing happen if you upload
   via FTP?
