 * I created 2 users and 2 groups. Both groups have unrestricted read rights and
   group restricted edit rights. No WP roles set.
 * user1 is group1
    user2 is group2
 * Post1 by user1: unrestricted (checkbox “group1” not checked)
    Post2 by user1:
   restricted (checkbox “group1” checked)
 * I supposed that user2 can edit post1 but the edit links are hidden for him. Its
   just one example of things I cannot explain.
 * I also installed the Capability Manager Plugin to test some things but no changes.
 * Any suggestions?

 * Hi,
 * could it be that the users haven’t the role editor or administrator? WordPress
   allows only this two groups to edit posts of other users and the uam will nothing
   change on this restrictions.
 * Bye,
    Alex

 * Hi Alex, my users are set to author role. When changing the roles to editor everybody
   can edit everything – like in default WP. Unfortunately I dont see the effect
   of your code.

 * Like I described it above the user must have the role editor or admin, otherwise
   the user can only edit its own posts. The uam will only have an effect if the
   user has one of this groups. Then the, in your example above, user2 shouldn’t
   see Post2 if he is logged in.
