I double-checked and its file path is fine (I saw a previous post about an extraneous folder but that’s all fine). * Thinking it was something funny with my theme, I re-activated the default Twenty Eleven and it still didn’t work. When I display the form with a shortcode on a page and try to submit, I get the error message defined in the settings (by default, “There was an error. Please ensure that you have added a title, some content, and that you have uploaded only images”). When I display it by hard- coding it into the page template and try to submit, I don’t receive any message but a “submission-error=1” is tacked onto the end of the URL and I don’t have any pending posts in the Admin area. * Does anyone have any ideas? I just noticed that even though I’m seeing errors, the posts ARE going through – they’re just ending up in my Trash folder for some reason. * Still not sure how to fix this. Any thoughts? I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, checked paths, checked permissions, checked WP settings…nothing will get rid of the default error message. It seems like it’s been abandoned and that really is a shame. For what it’s worth, making sure to ‘Show’ the post title field resolved my error message issue, which is strange because it shouldn’t be an editable setting if it’s required. Also, now I’m getting most posts in my All Posts view, where they should be, instead of the Trash. * My latest issue is that the plugin will display uploaded gif images but not jpgs. Thank you! Yes, it’s stupid that this is editable if it kills the plugin’s functionality. Oh well. * When I’ve uploaded JPGs, they show up in the media gallery as attached to the post with the title I enter in my test. I then have to go to the post and manually insert the image from the media gallery. User Submitted Posts is now updated with all sorts of new features, improvements, and bug-fixes. * Version 20121108 fixes the issue where posts won’t submit when the title is hidden. * For images not loading or displaying, there are several things to check: - Check the permission settings on the upload folder(s) by ensuring that you can successfully upload image files thru the Media Uploader. - Double-check that all the image-upload settings make sense, and that the images being uploaded meet the specified requirements. * Note: when changing permissions on files and folders, it is important to use the least-restrictive settings possible. If you have to use more permissive settings, it is important to secure the directory against malicious activity.
