This plugin just changed the name of my username when i open my author profile it was showing “admin” in the URL. So it didn’t changed the username in URL!
btw i got the solution, I’ve changed it from phpMyadmin.

what do you mean by showing admin in the URL? I’ve tested this several times in the last 24 hours and have yet to have a failure.
forget it, i’ve managed to change the username manually…

Still a bit curious as to what the problem was, but since you’ve solved your issue, I’m marking this as resolved.
e.g.
my user name was “admin” and i want to change it to “xyz”
and previous URL was “http://example.com/admin
i used the plugin and i managed changed the username “admin” to “xyz” but the URL was same as before “http://example.com/admin” which should be “http://example.com/xyz”
So, i was asking for help to change the user name in the URL.
Was this a BuddyPress install or something? Standard WP doesn’t have frontend profiles…
It’s standard WP and i mean author URL
http://example.com/author/admin
Ah! Now it makes sense! I did indeed forget about author URLs… I’ll have to fix that.
After changing username I am getting Error 404’s when clicking on the Username’s Author link. Is that something you plan to fix or is it something that can be fixed? I was trying to change my username to make my Google Authorship start working for this blog. I will update you if it does in fact work.

That was fixed, as far as I’ve been able to determine… Is your version of the plugin up to date? What is the actual link that’s failing?
