# [Plugin: Visitor Maps and Who's Online] shortcode causing redirection problm?

 * I love your plugin and use it on one site (without the short code). I was testing
   it on another site and created a “visitor map” page and inserted the short code
   as per the instructions. Now the homepage redirects to the map page. Even after
   deactivating the plugin and deleting the page, the homepage (root url) still 
   tries to redirect to the nonexistant map page, causing a 404. I even deleted 
   the plugin’s tables… same result.
    This site is scheduled to go live next week,
   any help would be hugely apreciated.

 * A plugin called “Redirect” is probably the cause.

    “If you go, from the Redirections settings menu, click on [Groups]
   then [Modified posts] you’ll probably see a 301 in there for just “/”. Remove
   it. I don’t know how or why it got added, but it seemed to be around the time
   I upgraded to 3.0″

 * Thanks Mike. That was it exactly.
    Sorry to accuse your plugin… it was the only
   recent change and I’ve never had the redirect plugin do that to me before (did
   I turn that feature on?)
