 * I’ve just bought the Pro version but can’t find a way to activate it on the plugin
   in my wordpress page. Anyway, I’ve run some pictures through the free version
   and it says it saved some space. When I then run the same pics, that were previously
   compressed via the plugin, by dragging them on to your website, it saves a further
   50-70%. Why didn’t this happen when I used the plugin?
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fplugin-vs-tiny-webpage%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hi there,
 * Thanks for reaching out!
 * The compression engine tries to find the optimal compression the first time you
   optimize an image. It is possible to compress an image again with TinyPNG, often
   further decreasing the file size. However, doing this usually degrades the quality
   of the image. Some images may not degrade as much as others, but there will always
   be differences. Therefore we recommend only optimizing an image once.
 * The Web Pro subscription is only for the web interface at tinypng.com. The WordPress
   plugin makes use of the Developer API service and has a different billing. It
   has a pay-per-compression billing, you can read more about it at [https://tinypng.com/developers#pricing](https://tinypng.com/developers#pricing).
   You can upgrade the WordPress plugin at the account dashboard at [https://tinify.com/dashboard/api](https://tinify.com/dashboard/api).
 * If you have no use of the pro subscription, feel free to send us a message at
   [support@tinify.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-vs-tiny-webpage/support@tinify.com?output_format=md).
 * Hope to have answered your question!
