 * Like many wordpress users on a shared hosting environment, one day you hit a 
   high CPU usage.
 * I’d like to understand if minify causes much higher CPU usage? I am OK to use
   more bandwidth, if I can reduce CPU a bit.

 * By design W3TC will reduce CPU usage. The one time expense of creating cache 
   files is no greater than the expense to generate or send those objects for every
   request of the same.
