# [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Enabling Network Mode

 * I’m hoping to use W3 Total Cache with [Virtual Multi Blog](http://striderweb.com/nerdaphernalia/features/virtual-multiblog/)
   and was wondering what the best way is to enable network mode (when you’re not
   using MULTISITE)?
 * I’ve found some instructions [here](http://tech.barszcz.info/2010/08/30/wp-hive-w3-total-cache/)
   which seem to do the trick, but I’d prefer not to modify the code.

 * Sorry, I was not being particularly clear 🙂
 * As I am not using the WordPress MU mode of WordPress W3 Total Cache does not 
   automatically detect that is should be in Network mode…
 * So my question should have been: “Is there a way to turn on network mode in W3
   Total Cache without modifying the code?”

 * For now W3TC currently doesn’t work that way. If you activate W3TC manually for
   each site indvidually, then you’ll be able to move on that way.
