# [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] .htaccess write problems

 * I am trying to install W3 Total Cache, but am getting these errors:

 * My .htaccess file has rights setto 777 and WordPress can write to it for the 
   permalinks.
    Even if I copy the code manually into the .htaccess file, I still
   get the same errors.

 * W3TC is trying to complete the setup for you. You will need to ask your host 
   if your site files are configured to allow PHP to write files – that’s why these
   issues aren’t going away. It’s an owner / group issue.
