# [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Nothing happend after intalling plugin

 * I installed w3 toal cache on my site. The result:
    I got 56 points on google 
   pagespeed. (Quite week.) The high priority problems: 1. **Allow Gzip compression**
   2. Use Browser cache
 * YSlow result: D (Overall performance 68)
    Red suggestions: 1. Make fewer HTTP
   requests 2. CDN 3. Add Expires header 4. **Compress components with gzip** 5.
   Put JavaScript at bottom 6. Minify Javascript and CSS 7. Use cookie free domain
 * This is why I intalled the plugin. I got NO result. The only thing I see is 3
   extra lines in page source code:

 * May I know what you expect to happen after installing the plugin?
 * You can [check if “gzip” compression is enabled](http://www.whatsmyip.org/http-compression-test/)
   for your site. From what I see, it is enabled and its working. W3 Total Cache
   can not compress components that do not originate from your site, though.

 * The compression is enabled.
    I expected better results in google page speed and
   YSlow. They both say that gzip is NOT working and I should turn it on. Either
   google and YSlow is wrong or this plugin is wrong.
 * By the way:
    At the end of Page Cache tab the plugin writes: Enable HTTP compression
   in the “HTML” section on Browser Cache Settings tab. But it is ON already, so
   the plugin itself don’t know it’s own setting.

   and apply [Page speed service](https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/service)…
   all the problem settle with score at gtmetrix 98/90…
