# Plugin won't update or deactivate

 * Hey,
    This is a good plugin, but I can’t get it to update or to deactivate. Either
   option results in a 404 page.
 * Why might this be?
 * I tried deactivating my other plugins to see if that it the problem.

 * I’m having the exact same problem. I guess the only option is to remove the plugin
   from the server.

 * I think I figured out what was causing the problem.
    I had a firewall set up 
   that was catching a word in this plugin name. Possibly “exploit” or “scanner.”
   Check any firewalls or other security plugins you have to see if that is preventing
   the update / removal.
