# [Plugin: Woocommerce] Custom Variation

 * My site is [http://www.thepaisleybox.com](http://www.thepaisleybox.com) and I
   use woocommerce.
 * I have a product that requires a variation option that the customer would need
   to fill out. In other words, I would like to create a variation without a drop
   down list.
 * This is an example of the type of product ([http://thepaisleybox.com/product/personalized-jewelry-box-turquoise/](http://thepaisleybox.com/product/personalized-jewelry-box-turquoise/)).
   For initials, I just create 3 drop downs where the customer selects the 3 letters.
   However, I need the customer to be able to submit a full name so 8-10 drop down
   selections will be too much.
 * Is there a way for the customer to fill-out what they would like rather than 
   choose from a list of pre-determined options?
